Uhhh…UPDATE PLEASE!?!!

Ok…we’ve heard many comments about our outdated blog…lol.  If you scroll down to the last entry before this, we wrote about saying “Aloha” to the Boyer family – and they came over a year ago!   Yeah…I guess you can say we are a little behind the times.  Sorry but we switched our main mode of communication to email instead, so sadly, this blog got neglected!  The reason for our switch is because many of our supporters had been specifically asking how they can be praying for our family and want to be updated on the latest prayer and praise reports for us.  Therefore, the emails have a slightly different feel compared to this blog – our emails are more personal and intentional in content.  If you want to be included as our support group, please shoot me an email:  lynne@gozoe.org.  But we realize that some may prefer just checking into our blog every now and then, to see what’s up with the latest news at ZOE and us (which is totally fine!), so we’ll try to keep this updated as well.

————————————————————————————-

Let’s see – what’s been happening in the last year?  Too many things to write about!  You probably can check out our ZOE blog to get updated (http://zoechildren.org/blog/).  But let’s talk about highlights!  Really, the first and only thing that comes to mind is probably our newest missionaries…no, not the Boyer family (now, they are well-seasoned missionaries)…but allow me to introduce the most recent arrivals that we have been blessed with, in the last 6 months or so (in alphabetical order because I don’t remember the order they came!):

Ahn Family:   Let me tell you about the Ahn family.  Amazing and loving family.  They are the kind of family that you just want to get to know – fun, sweet, and so down to earth.  How else would I describe them?  They are the type of people that you would want as your neighbors (that says a lot).   The more I get to know them, the more I love them….the more I’m tempted to asked to be adopted into their family!  Easy to love, easy to be with, easy to see the love of God in their lives.

Chongsiriwatana Family:  Ok – so maybe the words I’m looking for are “heaven sent”.  Joe fills voids at ZOE that we didn’t even know that we had!  A master at computers…he definitely has his hands full with so many computer-illiterate people (personally speaking).  His gifting has been such a great blessing to ZOE.  And his loving wife and kids are just the perfect compliment.  They are a family that has much to give and give it freely.  Their son Noah is in the same grade as Garrett and have become great friends with each other.  Did I say…ah yes, heaven sent.

Kaylee Wolfe:  Laughter fills her heart and the entire room when Kaylee enters!  Her heart overflows with the joy of the Lord.  She is someone whom people are drawn to.  Often times at ZOE, I find her surrounded by the ZOE kids as she is either teaching, playing or just hanging out with them.  She SAYS she is only here for 1 year…but that’s been the story of many of our missionaries who have been with us for 3…5…7 years now.  Hmmm…only God knows, but if we only get her for one year, we would all say that we are better people having known Kaylee.  Yep…as you can see, she is not only pretty but special…which makes her pretty special!

Yu family:  Just when we think we got this family figured out…they go and surprise us with a whole ‘nother level about them that just knocks you off your feet.  My first impressions were that they were quiet and to themselves, but now I know that they are social butterfies and connect easily with people.  I thought they are reserved, but they can have you rolling on the ground, they are so funny.  I thought they were laid back, but really, they are wise and wait for just God’s timing before they go for it.   Wow!  I LOVE that about them!  The deeper you go with them, it just keeps getting deeper.  There is no shallowness to them – its the real deal with them.  Can’t wait to find out more!!!

CONCLUSION:  Ok…really…I probably could exchange any one of these descriptions between any of these missionaries and it would fit any of them – because with all of them – we love them, they are amazing, heaven sent, joyful, special and the real deal.  It humbles me to think that God has brought such a great caliber of people into our family.  Man!  I have a lot of learn from them…pray for me!
